Can I do the Healthy Hips program after surgery?
What you can do after surgery depends on a variety of factors—so it's important to consult with your surgeon and/or physical therapist after surgery. Only they can tell you if there are specific motions you need to avoid based on the procedure performed.
When they give you clearance to begin gentle stretching, massage, and strength exercises, you can begin exploring the Healthy Hips program (while keeping in mind the specific guardrails given by your surgical team).
A few important reminders:
- Never force anything
- Start more gently than you think you need to
-
If you’re ever in doubt, go slower
🐢 Slow is safe. Fast is foolish.
The goal is to help your body recover and rebuild intelligently—not to rush back into aggressive movement too soon.
Take your time and listen to your body. You’ll get there.
