Can I still run while doing the Healthy Hips program?

I generally recommend taking a break from running for a few weeks while you work on restoring better hip function and body awareness.

If running is essential for your mental health, that’s understandable—but keep it short, slow, and mindful. Only run at a pace and distance where you can maintain excellent, pain-free form during and after your run.

Many people make the mistake of chasing mileage goals without considering how it affects their long-term joint health. If running currently causes hip pain, don’t keep pushing through it. That’s your body asking for a reset.

If your stride feels lopsided, heavy, or like you're pounding into the ground, it's a sign to pause and rebuild your muscle function before returning to high-impact training.

Perfect pain-free form comes first.

Speed and distance can come later.
