My hip flexors feel painful/worse after Workout 1. What do I do?
If your hip flexors feel bad after doing Workout 1, you may have weak hip flexors and/or quads. You will feel better once you build more strength in those muscles.
Some strategies that might be helpful:
- Omit the quad stretch at the end of Workout 1.
- Do Workout 2 instead or at least make sure you're rotating it with Workout 1. When doing the supine hip flexor lifts, don't focus on a big stretch. Focus on building control at the end of your range of motion.
- Don't do Stretch Session 1 aggressively. If and when you do it, make sure to use contractions to build strength at the lengthened position.
